Stroytransgaz Signed Two Contracts for the Design, Construction, and Reconstruction of Roads in the Moscow Region

JSC Stroytransgaz’s portfolio of the road infrastructure development includes two new projects. The Customer is the State Public Institution of the Moscow Region “Management of Road Construction”.

STG will carry out design, survey, and construction of an access road to the village of Bogdanikha in the Leninsky Urban District and in the Domodedovo Urban District of the Moscow Region (access road to the Domodedovo Airport). A four-lane high-speed highway with a length of 5.68 km, one pedestrian bridge, and two overpasses will appear in this area. The new facility construction will relieve the Volodarskoe highway and improve the transport accessibility of Bogdanikha, taking into account the planned housing development.

STG will also design and reconstruct a section of the Kashirskoe highway. The road will be expanded to 6–8 lanes from the interchange from A-105 to the turn onto the Belokamennoye highway towards Vidnoye. Three pedestrian bridges and 4 overpasses will be built under the project. The total length of the facility will be 16.5 km. A number of pedestrian underpasses will be equipped at the facility for pedestrians.

The Kashirskoe highway is now unable to cope with the increased traffic, especially at the intersection with the Volodarskoe highway. Traffic jams are common in this section in the morning and evening hours, when drivers lose up to 2 hours. According to the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow Region, reconstruction of the main section of the Kashirskoe highway and construction of an interchange at the intersection with the Volodarskoe highway will double the capacity of the road.

The projects will be implemented under the state program of the Moscow Region “Development and Operation of the Traffic Complex for 2017–2024” with funding from the regional road fund. The work is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
