Stroytransgaz JSC has signed a new contract for development of design documentation for a new highway construction in the Moscow region. The company will also perform work on the construction of Phase 1 of the facility, which is to be implemented in 2 phases. The owner is the Road Construction Administration of the Moscow Region.

The new road is called ‘Molokovskoye Highway – Nizhnee Myachkovo’, it will be located in Leninsky and Ramensky urban districts. The road will be over 5 km in length and will have 4 to 6 lanes designed for the speed of 100 km/h.

As part of Phase 1, Stroytransgaz JSC will build the main and the alternate routes, as well as 2 underground pedestrian crossings. The existing utilities will be rebuilt, rain sewers and culverts will be laid, lighting, noise screens and traffic lights will be installed. The Phase 1 section runs from the junction with the interchange to be constructed on the “Lytkarino-Tomilino-Kraskovo-Zheleznodorozhny” toll road to Volodarskoye highway.

Phase 2 will include construction of an overpass across the Volodarskoye highway and 2 flyovers on the section from the junction to the interchange to be constructed on the “Lytkarino-Tomilino-Kraskovo-Zheleznodorozhny” toll road to the junction with the street/road network constructed as part of the Prigorod Lesnoye residential complex. For the convenience of pedestrians, it is planned to build sidewalks and bus stops, as well as cycle lanes.

A new road will appear as part of the construction of a new route of the Volodarskoye highway. The road will provide access to the Novolytkarinskoye highway and improve the transport accessibility for the adjacent settlements – Molokov, Misaylov, Orlov, Dalniye Prudischi, Ostrov, as well as residential neighbourhoods.

The project will be implemented under the state program of the Moscow Region “Development and Operation of the Traffic Complex for 2017–2026” with funding from the regional road fund. It is planned to complete the new road design in H1 2023, and the construction work in H2 2026. The cost of works will amount to 4.8 billion roubles.
