Museum and Theatre Complex

Final works are in progress at the educational building of the Higher School of Music and Dramatic Arts (Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries) in Kemerovo. 98 rooms (60%) have been handed over for installation of equipment.

Assembly and installation of equipment in the sports hall are in progress. A total of 66 pieces of equipment will be installed (including choreography equipment, basketball boards, scoreboards, gates, mats, benches, etc.).

The Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts

The building of the Higher School of Music and Dramatic Arts has a high degree of completeness - around 96%. Inside, the finishing work is nearing completion, with 2,252 square metres of translucent glass partitions almost completed. The classrooms have already been fitted with 11,200 sq. m of flooring, and AC units, and the furniture is currently being assembled.

Museum, Theatre and Education Complex (31% complete) is getting more solid. Its highest point is already 24 metres. Formwork assembly and acceptance of concrete (a total of 55,000 m3) and installation of structural steel (2,750 t assembled) are ongoing there. Construction of brick partition walls in the basement is in progress.

A piling field is being prepared for the construction of an apartment building for theatre staff. 88 piles have been driven (30% of the scope).

Background:

As part of the Siberian Cultural Complex construction project by Stroytransgaz-Siberia, the following venues will be built in Kemerovo: Opera and Ballet Theatre (Branch of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre); Museum & Exhibition Centre (Branch of the Russian Museum); Kuzbass Centre of Arts with a Cinema and Concert Complex (designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, Austria); Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries; and the house for performing artists will appear in the city.

Already built and commissioned: Branch of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography with a boarding school; Siberian Branch of the Central Music School — Academy of Performing Arts with a boarding school; a comprehensive school with two swimming pools; the Campus of the Siberian Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the stadium; Museum depository with a restoration centre; residential building for teaching staff.

The construction of the Kemerovo complex project started in 2019.
