Stroytransgaz Group reconstructs Phase 1 of Oktyabrsky Avenue in Lyubertsy from the junction with Vlasov Street to the road approach up to the overpass through the railway track along the main course of the avenue with a turn to Volkovskaya Street. To date, the facility is 38% complete.

The project envisages to increase the number of traffic lanes from 4 to 8. The reconstructed section will be 1.5km along the main route of the avenue and 2.94km along side roads and exits.

Work schedule also includes construction of the new four-lane overpass over two busy road crossings in Krasnaya and Smirnovskaya Streets with the total length of 473 m. To ensure road traffic safety, 2 underpasses will also be built, including ramps for baby carriages and wheelchairs. The project provides for installation of 3 traffic lights and construction of 7 bus stops. After the reconstruction, the average traffic speed will be about 80 km/h and vehicle travel time will be reduced to 15 to 20 minutes.

Currently, 70 of the 140 reinforced concrete span beams have been installed on the supports of the overpass under construction. Construction of the supports for the artificial structure is also in progress. The builders have now completed the bored piles for the 12th support and are moving on to the 13th. At the moment, 11 of the 15 supports of the artificial structure have varying degrees of completeness. Concrete casting of the 1st part of underground crossing and stair exits No. 3 and No. 4 has been completed. 20 street lighting poles were installed.

Utility reconstruction works are underway at this facility. Road workers are now installing cable conduits (31,545 out of 56,215 linear metres completed) and telephone manholes (37 out of 54). There are also 13 monolithic chambers for telecommunications on the site, of which 11 have been built. 1.267 km of new water pipeline out of 2.628 km laid. New gas pipeline is under construction.

The Oktyabrsky Avenue massive overhaul project includes five phases and is implemented as part of efforts to improve the road network and transport accessibility in Lyubertsy Municipal District as ordered by Moscow Governor Andrey Vorobyov. After the reconstruction, the road capacity is expected to be 115,000 vehicles per day.
