Delegation headed by Sergey Gryzykhin, Chief Federal Inspector for the Primorsky Territory, Konstantin Shestakov, Head of Vladivostok, and Evgeny Koshelyov, General Director of Stroytransgaz-Vostok, checked the readiness of the cultural and educational complex on Russky Island for commissioning.

At the construction site, the leaders visited the last two sites out of nine where construction works are nearly finished.

"We are now completing adjustment of utility systems and equipment in the Central Music School educational building and residential building for teachers. Next, arrange the remaining furniture and equipment, clean the premises and hand over the last two buildings to the users. Talented children from all over the country will start studying here as early as September," said Yevgeny Koshelyov, General Director of Stroytransgaz-Vostok.

In addition, a boarding school for children from the age of 12 and a secondary school for 550 children have been built on the site.

There are two swimming pools in the comprehensive school: recreational pool and training pool. Each pool is 25 metres long. The capacity per class is up to 45 children.

According to STG-Vostok specialists, the water treatment system for the two swimming pools is fully prepared and all equipment has been installed. The commissioning work will be carried out jointly with the operator.

It is important to note that representatives of the music and dance schools have been present at every stage of construction of the large-scale complex since day one. At the moment, Director of the Central Music School branch Natalya Maltseva and Acting Director of the Choreography Academy branch Yevgeny Bakhteev are actively involved in facilities acceptance. In turn, the builders take into account all the wishes of future users including the choice of paint for walls in corridors and classrooms.

"Of course, the applicants will have to go through a serious competitive selection. This is where they will learn the performing arts from the best teachers in the country and the region, and where graduates will be trained as artists for the symphony orchestra. No doubt, it is important that children at this Academy will be able to study on a state-financed basis," said Vladivostok Mayor Konstantin Shestakov.

It should be recalled that a grand opening of the cultural and educational complex on Russky Island is planned for September.
