As part of a working visit to Kuzbass, Vladimir Osintsev, Deputy Minister of Culture visited the facilities of the Siberian Cultural and Educational Complex. Vladimir Gennadyevich was accompanied by Alexey Povalyaev, Deputy General Director for Industrial and Civil Construction of Stroytransgaz JSC, Sergey Maryinsky, General Director of Stroytransgaz-Sibir JSC as well as representatives of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation, Ministry of Culture and National Policy in Kuzbass and the residents.

Vladimir Osintsev visited the existing facilities commissioned in 2021 and 2022 - the Sibirsky branch of the Central Music School-Academy of Performing Arts with a boarding school; the branch of Moscow State Academy of Choreography with a boarding school, a storage facility with restoration workshops.

Besides, Vladimir Gennadyevich visited the Siberian Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries that is in the final stage of construction. The final meeting was held at the complex's largest facility, the museum and theatre complex. V. Osintsev emphasised the importance of the facility for the region and for the cultural space of the country as a whole and highlighted the quality of the work and the efficient interaction between the General Contractor, Stroytransgaz, the customer and the users.

Background:


The cultural and educational complex in Kemerovo is one of 4 similar complexes. The task to create four new cultural centres (Vladivostok, Kemerovo, South Russia, Kaliningrad) was set by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in his Address to the Federal Assembly in 2018 and detailed in the Executive Order on the National Goals and Strategic Objectives of Development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024.


The construction of the Kemerovo complex project started in 2019.

Already built and commissioned: branch of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography with a boarding school; the Siberian Branch of the Central Music School — Academy of Performing Arts with the boarding school; comprehensive school with two swimming pools (for students of Moscow State Choreography Academy and Central School of Music);
the Campus of the Siberian Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the stadium;
Museum depository with a restoration centre;
Residential Building for Teachers of the Education Complex.

As part of the Siberian Cultural Complex construction project by Stroytransgaz-Siberia, the following venues will be built in Kemerovo:
- Opera and Ballet Theatre (Branch of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre);
- Museum & Exhibition Centre (Branch of the Russian Museum);
- Kuzbass Centre of Arts with Cinema and Concert Complex (designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, Austria);
- Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries;
- residential building for actors.
