Stroytransgaz Group Commenced Construction of External Lighting Line at Exit under Construction in Moscow Suburban Area

The process of the external lighting line construction

Stroytransgaz Group commenced construction of an external lighting line at the exit from Volodarskoye Highway to A-105 Highway towards Moscow under construction in the Leninsky District of the Moscow region. The project is being implemented under instruction of the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov and at the request of local residents.

We are currently concreting the embedments for lighting poles, and grounding the poles. At the same time, we are working on the road surface, and the road marking will commence shortly, as well as installation of barrier railing and traffic signs’ says the Minister of Transport for Moscow Suburban Area Alexey Gerzhik.

Barrier railing installation

Currently, due to the lack of direct exit to A-105 towards Moscow, during morning and evening rush hours several traffic flows intersect and generate traffic jams. The new exit will improve the traffic situation and reduce the time of travel to Moscow from 1 hour to 20 minutes. The length of the two-lane exit is about 1 km.

The construction of Volodarskoye Highway exit is just one of the stages of the future project of improvement of Kashirskoye Highway section, which is expected to commence upon completion of design in the 3rd quarter of 2023. As part of the project, the road will be expanded to 6–8 lanes, and three interchanges without traffic lights will be constructed on different levels at intersections with A-105, Volodarskoye and Belokamennoye Highways.

Implementation of the project will help to increase the throughput of Kashirskoye Highway by 25–30% and eliminate traffic jams, and the time of travel along the road will not exceed 20 minutes. Also, the project will substantially improve the traffic situation in adjacent settlements, and residential neighbourhoods of the Lenin District currently under construction.
