RBC TV interview

The 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2023) was held in St. Petersburg. This the main theme was “Sovereign Development as the Basis of a Just World: Joining Forces for Future Generations”. It was attended by over 17,000 people from 130 countries, thus once again demonstrating Russia's lack of isolation and its attractiveness to international partners.

Dmitry Lebedev, General Director, headed Stroytransgaz's delegation.   Alisa Bezrodnaya, Deputy General Director, and Konstantin Skorikov, Chief Financial Officer, also took part in the Forum.

Three-day forum agenda, from 14 to 16 June, included business meetings and negotiations, as well as discussion panels.

A working meeting with Sergey Nosov, the Governor of Magadan Region, took place on the first day of SPIEF 2023. Dmitry Lebedev, General Director of Stroytransgaz Group, was interviewed by RBC TV. He talked about the most cultural construction of the country (watch the interview). In the interview Dmitry Vladimirovich highlighted: “We are constructing a total of 45 buildings and structures in four clusters and have already commissioned 29 of them. Today, educational buildings with boarding schools in Kaliningrad and Kemerovo have already been commissioned and are successfully functioning, and in September the new buildings of music and choreography schools in Vladivostok will be opened. Museum and theatre complexes will be completed within the next year.”

Meeting with the delegates of the Volgograd Region Government

The schedule of business sessions and negotiations was very tight,. It included meetings with the representatives and heads of Volgograd, Kaliningrad and Rostov Regions, Primorye and Perm Territory on further implementation of strategic construction projects in the regions.

Meeting with A. Alikhanov, the Governor of Kaliningrad Region

During their meeting with Vera Shcherbina, First Vice-Governor of Primorye Territory - the Chairman of Primorye Territory Government, the parties discussed opportunities for continued co-operation and implementation of several major projects in Primorye Territory. It concerned, among other things, construction of health care and education facilities and development of transport infrastructure.

“We know Stroytransgaz by its construction operations in the region - they are building the Cultural and Educational Complex. It is a federally significant project. We discussed other projects we could implement together in Primorye Territory. We have presented our projects under design for us to find ways for collaboration in the future. We talked about rapid development of Primorye: cross-border trade, tourism, industry infrastructure, roads, exits and interchanges” — noted Vera Shcherbina.

Russia's economy is actively developing not only despite the sanctions, but mainly due to them, as new production opportunities have emerged. During Plenary Session, Vladimir Putin emphasised: “We will continue to build and upgrade the infrastructure.”
