Vladivostok Culture and Education Complex Built To Final Grade Level!

The construction of vertical structures at the project site of the Museum and Theatre Complex in Vladivostok began less than 3 months ago, but the team of Stroytransgaz-Vostok and contractors did not waste time and very quickly built the in-situ section up to the line separating the underground portion of the building from its aboveground portion, reaching the so-called final grade level.

Since the start of construction, builders have used about 500 tons of rebars and placed more than 7,000 cu.m of concrete.

In parallel with the in-situ casting, builders are continuing to build and strengthen the walls of the pit, and this work is now almost completed. To date, more than 330,000 tons of soil has been removed from the construction site. 942 secant piles have already been installed along the perimeter of the future building of the Culture and Education Complex.

Just to remind you, STG-Vostok will build a large museum and theatre centre on the Eagle Nest hill. It will house branches of the State Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Museum of Oriental Arts, the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, the School of Creative Industries and the Mariinsky Theatre’s stage. Stroytransgaz Group is building culture and education complexes in Vladivostok and in 3 other Russian cities at the request of the Social and Cultural Projects Fund National Cultural Heritage according to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s mandate.

In addition to construction work, company’s specialists make their direct contribution to environment care. In late April, more than 60 employees of Stroytransgaz-Vostok, including blue and white collars, joined the citywide Community Cleanup Day. Colleagues took up working equipment and went out to the coast of Ajax Bay on Russky island, where they spent several hours cleaning up the beach and the forest area.
