The First Graduation Took Place at the Baltiysky Branch of the Central Music School in Kaliningrad

In the branch of the Central Music School in Kaliningrad, which was built by LLC STG-Zapad, the academic year ended and a prom was held.  For the institution, 2022 is remarkable because in June, after passing all state exams, the first graduates will receive diplomas of secondary professional education. In honour of this event, a festive concert was held within the walls of the educational institution.

The solemn event was attended by Marina Orgeeva, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Ilya Barinov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, and Dmitry Rzhannikov, General Director of LLC STG-Zapad. Parents of students and employees of LLC STG-Zapad, who took part in the construction of the educational complex, were invited as spectators.

This academic year, 63 young musicians received education in 13 specialties from grades 1 to 11. Students of the 11th grade graduated from the branch this year, for the first time in the history of its existence. This honour was enjoyed by students Anatasia Zhukova (violin) and Arina Krivenko (piano). The girls are going to have state exams and be admitted to the conservatory next.

“You are the first in a series of future famous performers who studied within these walls. You are our golden fund of culture. Each has many achievements, victories, but this is just the beginning. Genius is not only success, but also constant work, daily training and exercises behind it,” congratulated the graduates Ilya Barinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kaliningrad Region.

The students of the branch presented a concert, the culmination of which was the performance made by the graduates as part of a chamber ensemble with K. Khachaturian’ work “Sonata for Violin and Piano”.

Special attention was paid to the new “home” of the Central Music School branch in Kaliningrad. A video about the educational complex construction phases with “before” and “after” photos was presented on a big screen.

“In November 2021, the branch acquired “its own HOUSE” by moving to the educational complex on the Oktyabrsky Island, built to educate talented children. A unique modern infrastructure has been created here, which helps achieve high results in education,” said Larisa Volkova, Director of the Baltic Branch of the Central Music School.

By the beginning of the new academic year, service housing will be ready. Teachers of the cultural cluster will live in comfortable conditions. The apartments will be fully equipped with modern appliances and furniture.

Let us remind you: the Siberian Branch of the Central School of Music at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory was opened for students in September 2019 based on the educational and methodological centre. Since November 2021, the branch has moved to its main location – the educational complex on the Oktyabrsky Island. The Baltic Branch of the Central Music School is part of the cultural, educational and museum complex, which also includes branches of the Tretyakov Gallery, Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow State Academy of Arts, and Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, a hostel for students and pupils, residential buildings for artists and teachers. The cultural and educational complex in Kaliningrad on the Oktyabrsky Island is being constructed by decision of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The entire project owner is the Non-Profit Organization – the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects.
