Kuzbass Governor Sergey Tsivilyov considers the Siberian Cultural and Educational Complex to be one of the region's growth points

Sergey Evgenyevich told this during his press conference (live broadcast) on the results of the Governor's work over 5 years and the prospects for the region's development. As the Governor emphasised, the main outcome of the work was a change in attitudes towards Kuzbass.

In doing so, he emphasised that the teamwork of Kuzbass is fully supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian Government. As an illustration of this support, the Governor also spoke about how the decision was made to build a cultural and educational complex in Kemerovo. As you know, Stroytransgaz had originally planned to build only three complexes: in Vladivostok, Kaliningrad and in Southern Russia, but, during a personal conversation, the Governor convinced Vladimir Vladimirovich that the region needed one.  

Construction of the facilities in the capital of Kuzbass began in 2019. Already built and commissioned: branch of the Moscow State Choreography Academy with the boarding school, the Siberian Branch of the Central Music School-Academy of Performing Arts with the boarding school, as well as a comprehensive school with two swimming pools (for students of the Academy and the School); the Campus of the Siberian Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the stadium; Museum depository with a restoration centre; Residential Building for Teachers of the Education Complex. Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries has a high degree of completion (first-year students of this higher education institution are still studying in the premises of other educational institutions of the city). Museum and Theatre Complex and residential building for theatre artists are also under construction.

If we were once perceived as a difficult coal-mining region, we are now known both in our country and in the world as a youthful, sporting, touristy, cultural region with a vibrant, busy life, which is interesting to visit and interesting to live in. This is the greatest achievement. Everything that has been built and done is the result of the work of our team, we are proud of this and we believe in our strength," said Sergei Tsivilyov.
