40 MVA
In August 2013, PJSC STG signed a contract with JSC MOESK (MOESK’s branch – Western Electric Networks) for renovating the 110/10/6kV Dedovo substation located in Istra District, Moscow Region.
The renovation of the Dedovo substation is one of the projects within the long-term investment programme of MOESK’s branch. The project aims at improving the quality of power supply to Istra District consumers and to create favourable conditions for connecting new users. No power cuts are envisaged on this project.
The first project phase includes addition of a 40MVA transformer to the two existing power transformers (25MVA each) to handle overloads in the grid.
Within the second phase, STG will mount one more 40MVA transformer equipped with an automatic voltage regulator, Thereafter, the two existing transformers of a total capacity of 50MVA will be decommissioned.
Simultaneously, STG will renovate the 110kV outdoor switchgear. The outdated oil-immersed switches will be replaced with state-of-the-art SF6 switches.
Moreover, STG will have equipment installed (protection relays for automatics and telemechanics).
The work commissioned to STG is scheduled to be completed before 2018.
Background:
MOESK will construct the second circuit of the 110kV Sloboda - Dedovo overhead line (OHL) as part of renovation of the Dedovo substation. The T-1 and T-2 transformers with a total capacity of 80MVA will be replaced with two power autotransformers 63MVA each. Thus, the output capacity of the Dedovo substation will be increased by 2.5 times by 2015, i.e. the moment of completion of the entire scope of works.
