In December 2014, JSC Stroytransgaz was awarded by FGC UES the tender for the construction of the following power grid facilities in Yaroslavl region:

  • Double-circuit overhang of the 220kV “Yaroslavskaya – Tutaev, Yaroslavskaya – Yaroslavskaya-1” Overhead Power Transmission Line 11.6km long.
  • Double-circuit overhang of the 220kV “Yaroslavskaya – Tveritskaya, Yaroslavskaya – Yaroslavskaya-2” Overhead Power Transmission Line 29.5km long.

New overhangs of the OHPL will be connected to the Yaroslavskaya (Huadian – Tenin) CHPP being currently renovated. The CHPP will generate power to be transmitted by the OHPLs being constructed via the “Tutaev”, “Yaroslavskaya” and “Tveritskaya” substations to end consumers of the Yaroslavl region. JSC STG will renovate these 220kV substations and replace the power equipment and secondary systems.

Moreover, Stroytransgaz will install the fiber-optic cable built into the ground wire with a total length of 103.6km on the 220kV OHPL being constructed and renovated, and also replace the poles.

JSC STG is implementing the project on a turnkey basis, i.e. in addition to the construction, installation and commissioning the company carries out design and surveys, develops the design and detailed documentation, supplies materials and equipment.

Additional Information:

Renovation of the Yaroslavl CHPP is carried out by the Russian-Chinese company. The Chinese Party provides funding to the project in the amount of 20 bln. rubles, as well as the supply of the equipment, including one of the three turbines, two more turbines will be manufactured in St. Petersburg. All equipment for the new CHPP will run on gas fuel. The use of steam and gas technologies will help reduce fuel consumption by a quarter and substantially reduce emissions.
