In order to increase the shipping capacity of the oil pipeline system in 2006 Stroytransgaz PJSC concluded a contract with JSC Transsibneft for reconstruction of Omsk-Irkutsk oil pipeline.
Within the framework of the contract the company completed construction-assembly work totaling 220 km along two sections of the oil pipeline with 720 mm in diameter, including assembly and disassembly of the pipeline, removing the cable, setting up the electro-chemical protection. Three railroad crossings and 27 motor road crossings were built with the use of horizontal drilling.
The necessity of conducting 24 km of reconstruction in the same corridor with the Aleksandrovskoye-Andzhero-Sudzhensk oil pipeline complicated the project.
Works were completed in 2006.
