Urengoyskoye condensate pipeline

In December 2010 Achimgaz CJSC and Stroytransgaz PJSC entered into a general contract for the construction of facilities of the “Condensate Pipeline Infrastructure Development in Section 1A of Achimov Deposits of Urengoy Oil and Gas Condensate Field.The Second (Reserve) Line” project. The condensate pipeline is located in the Purovsky region of Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district of Tymen region.

STG scope of works involved:

• 34.71 km linear part of the condensate pipeline, 377 mm in diameter;
• a pig launcher;
• a pig receiver;
• block valve units;
• electrochemical protection facilities;
• access roads;
• condensate heating area;
• blowout gas pipelines;
• fuel gas pipeline;
• power supply facilities;
• blowout gas connection unit.

The construction was carried out in severe climatic and geological conditions. This area is characterized by 220 m deep permafrost, extreme continental climate – severe and long winter with stable frost up to 200 days per year.

In 2011 the condensate pipeline was constructed and successfully tested. Work was completed in September 2012.
