A Guided Tour for the Children of Stroytransgaz Employees On the Occasion of Children’s Day

On the day before Children’s Day Stroytransgaz arranged a guided tour for the children of its employees to the renovated multifunctional sports and recreation tennis complex which is designed to organize the training process for tennis players, hold amateur and professional competitions, and provide sports and recreation facilities to the public.

In record time, the cultural heritage monument was completely reconstructed and modernized. The historical landscape of Sokolniki Park and the direction of the paths remained intact during construction. The architects did their best to emphasize the close connection of the complex with the surrounding park.

Sporting Director of the Academy Vladimir Vladimirovich Dmitriev showed the children the renovated indoor and outdoor tennis courts where legendary tennis players trained, including M. Sharapova, A. Kournikova, E. Kafelnikov, A. Myskina, M. Safin, E. Kulikovskaya, A. Chesnokov, N. Ozerov, S. Andreev, K. Borisova, and other famous athletes. In addition to the main facilities, the tennis club incorporates a gym, playgrounds, workout areas, comfortable locker rooms for players and coaches, a VIP zone with a sauna, a sports shop, and a museum of tennis history.

During the tour, the children were shown unique Tennisit clay-coated indoor tennis courts, which are unlike anything else in Russia.

For the children, the most interesting part of the tour was to go to the court and play tennis with professionals. The children were divided into 2 groups, coach Ekaterina Strekalova gave an open tennis lesson to novice tennis players.

At the end of the tour, the children were presented with the books Building Big by David Macaulay. On the veranda, everyone was treated to pizza and ice cream. Everyone was happy with the tour!

The event was organized as part of the company’s social responsibility to popularize the profession of builder: the children were shown where parents work, what the company does, and what important facilities are constructed!
