GK Stroytransgaz is building a yacht complex in Gelendzhik under the "Development of Russia’s Transport System" governmental programme. The new yacht complex will be the largest facility of this kind in Russia.
The construction is nearing completion. At the Gelendzhik site, the South quay pier is 100% ready and the North quay pier is 95% ready by now. General utility networks are completed within the South and North quay piers, berths, and bank protection structures. Asphalt concrete laying has been started. A sewage pumping station and a fire-fighting water supply system are being installed. Electricity supply and electric lighting works are being carried out, and rainwater drainage system is being installed.
A comprehensive marina security system, including video surveillance, communication networks, access control and management system, is being built. The territory is being landscaped.
After commissioning, the Gelendzhik seaport will be capable of accepting no less than 200 yachts at the same time. The complex will feature a passenger terminal with a berth for passenger vessels with a draught up to 5.9 meters and passenger capacity of up to 940 people.
The project implementation will give a major boost to the tourist potential of the Black Sea resort and facilitate the development of the coastal region’s sea routes.
