Mikhail Khryapov Took Part in Meeting on Construction of the Bridge Over the Chusovaya River in Perm

Mikhail Khryapov, General Director of Stroytransgaz, took part in the working meeting on implementation of the concession agreement for construction of a bridge over the Chusovaya River. The meeting was chaired by Maxim Akimov, Deputy Prime Minister, and was attended by Maxim Reshetnikov, Governor of Perm Territory, representatives of the Regional Ministry of Transport and Perm Concession Company LLC.

Maxim Akimov noted that during construction of the new bridge drawbacks of the existing bridge must be accounted, modern materials must be used, and additionally, the new transport infrastructure facility must be safe.

According to Maxim Reshetnikov, the road to Khanty-Mansiysk should be transferred to the federal level in future. “We need to complete construction of the Eastern Bypass of Perm, to build bridges, to complete the Bypass of Chusovoy, to expand the road Polazna-Chusovoy i. e. to bring everything to a normal condition, and in future to transfer all mentioned to the federal level,” said the Head of the region. At the same time, he called for gathering construction pace so that residents could move along the new highway as soon as possible.

At present the design documentation for bridge construction has been completed, subcontractors has been selected. Preparation for construction works has been completed in full. The next step is to obtain required approvals.

As a reminder, 8 of 14 bridge piers will be erected over the run of the Chusovaya River in 2019. The construction will involve simultaneous used of two techniques – with the use of floating crafts and of a temporary bridge. Sufficient changes are expected on approaches to the bridge as well. Here, road sections on both banks will be reconstructed and two-level transport interchanges will be built.

The new bridge will be located 18 meters away from the existing bridge and will eventually take over half of the transport load. It is assumed that after the new bridge is constructed all traffic will be transferred to it, followed with reconstruction of the existing bridge.

Implementation of this project will complete the major reconstruction of the transport corridor, which connects Perm Territory with neighbouring regions. Specifically, the distance between Perm and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug will be reduced by 350 km.
