Gas Pipeline in Perm Krai is 100% Ready

The new inter-settlement gas pipeline in the Yusvinsky district of the Perm Krai, constructed by Stroytransgaz (STG) KSC, is 100% ready. The length of the main pipeline laid from the village of Malaya Mochga to the village of Maykor is 24.2 km. The project was implemented as part of Gazprom’s Program for Russian Regions Gasification. As a result of the facility commissioning, more than 2,000 households in the Yusva District will gain access to natural gas.

During the facility construction, 30 natural and artificial barriers were passed, and the gas pipeline crosses 9 surface and 15 underground utilities, 6 rivers and 6 streams. Gas pipelines were welded using highly automated machines, recording the welding results with further protocol printing. The testing performed to ensure reliability and safety of operation of the gas distribution system and installed equipment is nearing completion. The facility passed a three-stage quality control: by the STG quality control service, by the technical supervision service and by Customer's construction supervision service.

Just like at other facilities being built as part of the Russian Regions Gasification Program, the gas pipeline equipment is fitted with telemetry systems*. They allow to quickly obtain reliable information from a large number of remotely located facilities, and to significantly increase the safety and operational reliability of the gas supply system due to enhanced efficiency of management and emergency prevention. As part of the project, 4 gas distribution plants (GDP) with lightning protection were built for pressure reduction. The equipment will also make it possible to remotely monitor the inlet and outlet gas pressure, pressure drops across the filter, regulate the temperature inside GDPs, etc.

* A telemetry system is remote measurement of indicators describing the facility status, and transfer of obtained readings to a single data reception point

Despite the work suspension in winter due to low air temperatures, and in spring due to abnormal flooding of the construction sites, the work was completed in line with the schedule. It is planned to commission the gas pipeline in the near future.

Background:

Development of gas supply and gasification systems in the Russian Federation regions is one of the top priorities of Gazprom PJSC.

In 2005–2021, 39,000 km of gas pipelines were built in 69 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, while the investments amounted to about RUB 489 billion. In total, over 1.1 million households and apartments were provided with gas during this period, and more than 6,000 boiler houses and industrial enterprises were connected.

Today, 68 Russian constituent entities and Gazprom PJSC have jointly signed and are implementing the Programs for Regional Gas Supply and Gasification Development for 2021–2025. To ensure construction of inter-settlement gas pipelines, GDS and gas pipeline branches, Gazprom provides funding in the amount of RUB 526.1 billion. Over two thirds of investments are intended for rural areas. In total, 24.4 thousand kilometres of inter-settlement gas pipelines will be built (2.5 times more vs. the previous five-year period), the groundwork will be laid for gasification of 3,632 settlements (2.7 times more vs. the previous five-year period).

Under general contracts concluded with Gazprom Mezhregiongaz LLC, Stroytransgaz JSC is to carry out construction of 11 gasification projects with a total length of over 231 km, including 7 inter-settlement gas pipelines and 4 gas pipeline branches and GDSs.

To date, 230.8 km (99%) of gas pipelines have been welded and laid, and 23 (100%) gas distributors have been installed. Construction of 3 gas distribution stations is in progress.
