Builders of the Culture and Education Complex in Vladivostok visited the New Year concert of the Central Music School students

Young performers invited builders from Stroytransgaz-Vostok to the celebration

The New Year reporting concert was performed by students of the Primorsky Branch of the Central Music School. This year, the young performers invited construction workers from Stroytransgaz-Vostok to the event, which was attended by off-duty foremen and supervisors, workers, specialists from Production System Development, Mechanical Operations and other divisions.

The hour-and-a-half-long concert featured 13 acts performed by 15 musicians from Primorsky Branch of Central Music School. The children performed works of outstanding Russian and foreign composers in front of the audience: Sergei Rachmaninoff, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Viktor Kuprevich, Felix Mendelssohn, Ludwig Schitte, Franz Liszt, Robert Schumann and others. Moreover, the musicians demonstrated their mastery over a dozen of instruments, including piano, harp, bassoon, violin, double bass, flute, French horn, cello and various percussion instruments.

“Reporting concerts are very important for aspiring performers - it's an opportunity for them to experience the stage, get used to the audience, and cope with the excitement before public appearances. And, as with our recent concert, to create a festive atmosphere, to bring New Year's cheer to their families, friends and relatives. It was a pleasure to see STG-Vostok employees here. I am sure that it is very important for builders to see the creativity of the children for whom they are building the facilities — feeling connected to them and understanding their contribution to the future of Russian culture,” — said Natalia Maltseva, Head of Primorsky Branch of Central Music School — Academy of Performing Arts.

It should be noted that the Branch of the Central Music School is a part of the Culture and Education Complex on Russky Island that is developed by STG-Vostok. In addition to this educational institution, the educational facility of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography Branch, two boarding schools for students, Educational Centre, dormitory of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts and three multi-apartment buildings for teachers, student families and performers are under construction here.

The second site of the culture and education cluster is located on the Eagle’s Nest Hill, the highest point in the historical part of Vladivostok. This large-scale complex will accommodate Branches of the State Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Oriental Arts, Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, School of Creative Industries, and the Mariinsky Theatre’s stage.

They are built on behalf of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects as instructed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition to the capital of the Primorsky Territory, Stroytransgaz Group is building culture and education complexes in three more Russian cities. The projects are adapted to domestic conditions and standards by the design organisation GORKA Group.
