Moscow State Choreography Academy celebrates is 250th anniversary!

Stroytransgaz Group takes an active part in organizing a cycle of festive events dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Moscow State Choreography Academy. The events started in Kuzbass.

A delegation of the country’s leading creative university in the field of ballet art, headed by Marina Leonova, the Rector, arrived in Kemerovo. Evgeny Alekseev, Director for Economics and Finance in Stroytransgaz-Siberia JSC, presented Marina Konstantinovna with a symbolic treble clef, which opens the door to art for talented children, and a memorable address. All students and teachers of the branch will receive memorable gifts -– badges depicting a treble clef and pointe shoes, and 12 girls who took part in the first concert on the big stage in their lives will receive sweet gifts. Together with the guests, Evgeny Vladimirovich took part in the press conference, answered journalists’ questions.

At the meeting with Sergey Tsivilev, the Governor of the region, Marina Konstantinovna highly appreciated the potential of the Kemerovo branch and noted: “We are raising specialist for the theatres of the region and the whole country, they are gaining experience and skills. Now Kuzbass has its own specialized educational institution. I am sure that there are talented and gifted children here, and their number will increase in the future.”

 “MSCA shows a high level of education and is an example for ballet schools. We create conditions for this kind of art to develop in Kuzbass. We hope that graduates of the Kemerovo branch will perform in the best theatres of our country. It is important to raise our famous performing artists and develop the ballet school. I am glad that Kuzbass has become the first region to host anniversary events with the participation of laureates of international ballet competitions,” Sergey Tsivilev emphasized.

The creative group of the Moscow State Choreography Academy, which includes 90 students and teachers-choreographers, will take part in two big concerts on the stage of the Aleksandr Bobrov Musical Theatre of Kuzbass and in a number of master classes for students and teachers of professional choreographic educational institutions and children’s art schools in the region.

As a reminder, construction of the Siberian Cultural and Educational Complex in Kemerovo was started in 2019. In 2021, the following facilities were commissioned: the branch of the Moscow State Choreography Academy with the educational theatre and a boarding school for 150 people, the Siberian branch of the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory for 150 students with two concert halls and a boarding school for 75 students, the secondary school with two swimming pools for 300 students. The total area of ​​the complex of buildings is almost 34 thousand square meters.

Children from all over the country come here to study already. Graduates of the branches will become the first performing artists and musicians of the branch of the Mariinsky Opera and Ballet Theatre, which is under construction in Kemerovo. To date, installation of load-bearing steel structures of the Russian Museum branch, the Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Kuzbass Centre of Arts is underway.

Festive events within the framework of the creative school of the Moscow State Choreography Academy will be held in Kemerovo, Vladivostok, Kaliningrad – where branches of the academy have been created within the framework of the task set by the President of Russia to create cultural, educational and museum complexes.

The Moscow State Choreography Academy (MSCA) is recognized as a particularly valuable object of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation. The hundreds of outstanding graduates of the Moscow ballet school include Igor Moiseev, Nikolay Tarasov, Maya Plisetskaya, Maris Liepa, Ekaterina Maksimova, Vladimir Vasiliev, Yuriy Vladimirov, Nikolay Tsiskaridze, Maria Aleksandrova and other performing artists.
