Russian President’s Plenipotentiary Representative Has Visited STG Construction Sites in Vladivostok

Yuriy Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister, visited both construction sites of the cultural and educational complex in Vladivostok

Yuriy Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, visited the construction sites of the cultural and educational complex in Vladivostok on Russky Island and the Eagle’s Nest Hill. Deputy Prime Minister made sure that the construction of facilities is on schedule and thanked the builders for their hard work.

Alexey Chekunkov, the Minister for Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, Oleg Kozhemyako, the Governor of Primorsky Krai, and Konstantin Shestakov, the Mayor of Vladivostok, visited the Stroytransgaz-Vostok facilities together with the President’s Plenipotentiary Representative.

Igor Volkunovich, General Director of Stroytransgaz-Vostok, told the guests about the project, gave a guided tour of the territory and showed the results of builders’ work.

“Construction of the cluster facilities is proceeding in accordance with the schedule of works. On Russky Island all the work is almost completed, the process of facilities handover to users is underway. At the Eagle’s Nest Hill, work on the excavation and strengthening its walls is almost finished, the builders are close to completing work on concreting of foundation slabs. Installation of vertical structures is in progress, more than 30 thousand cubic meters of concrete has been poured, which is more than half of the total amount. The elevation of 29 meters above the ground has been reached in the museum section, installation of the stairs has been started”, said Igor Volkunovich, Director General of Stroytransgaz-Vostok.

Yuriy Trutnev was satisfied with the demonstration and thanked the builders for their work. Oleg Kozhemyako, the Governor, added that the contractor will be awarded appropriate prizes when the museum and theatre complex will bee handed over in the designated time.

“The facility is important for the city and the region and should be commissioned as planned – in December 2024. We need to make sure that young people from all over the Far East come to us, study here, develop, and stay to live and work. Everything is here for that. All conditions are ensured,” stressed the head of Primorye.

Stroytransgaz-Vostok, at the commission of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects, as mandated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is building a cultural and educational complex in Vladivostok. The construction is underway at two sites.

Preparatory works to hand over the facilities of Russia’s largest campus of culture and education institutions at Russky Island to users are underway: Branches of the Moscow State Choreography Academy and the Central School of Music, the Educational Centre with the canteen and the swimming pool, boarding schools for students, the dormitory for RSIPA students, as well as three apartment buildings for teachers and performing artists will be located there. Six of the nine facilities have already been completed and are in the process of being handed over to their users: the academic building of the Moscow State Choreography Academy, the Educational Centre with the canteen and the swimming pool, the boarding houses of the Central School of Music and the Moscow State Choreography Academy, and two apartment buildings for teachers and performing artists.

The second site of the culture and education cluster is located on the Eagles’s Nest Hill, the highest point in the historical part of Vladivostok. This large-scale complex will accommodate Branches of the State Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Oriental Arts, Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, School of Creative Industries, and the Mariinsky Theatre’s stage.

In addition to the capital of the Primorsky Krai, Stroytransgaz Group is building cultural and educational complexes in three more Russian cities. The projects are adapted to domestic conditions and standards by the design organisation GORKA Group.
