Video Overview of Siberian Cultural and Educational Centre Construction Progress

Kemerovo Cultural and Educational Centre is one of four complexes under construction by STG Group in Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Kaliningrad and Southern Russia.

The educational building for the Higher School of Music and Dramatic Arts (Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries) that is built by STG-Siberia as a part of the Siberian Cultural and Educational Complex has a high degree of readiness — around 94%. The interior finishing is nearly completed, and glass partitions are under installation. The offices have already been fitted with flooring and AC units, and the furniture is currently being assembled.

MTEC construction progress

Museum, Theatre and Education Complex (28% complete) is getting more solid. Its highest point is already 21.3 metres. Formwork assembly and acceptance of concrete (a total of 52,000 m3) and installation of structural steel (2,296 t assembled) are ongoing there. Construction of brick partition walls in the basement is in progress.  

Background:
As part of the Siberian Cultural Complex construction project by Stroytransgaz-Siberia, the following venues will be built in Kemerovo: Opera and Ballet Theatre (a Branch of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre); Museum & Exhibition Centre (a Branch of the Russian Museum); Kuzbass Centre of Arts with a Cinema and Concert Complex (designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, Austria); Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the Creative Industries School; and the house for performing artists will appear in the city.

Already built and commissioned are: Branch of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography with a boarding school; Siberian Branch of the Central Music School — Academy of Performing Arts with a boarding school; a comprehensive school with two swimming pools; the Campus of the Siberian Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the stadium; Museum depository with a restoration centre; house for teaching staff.

The construction of the Kemerovo complex project started in 2019.
