Sergey Kirienko: “These are really unprecedented facilities in the world”

Sergey Kirienko, First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Executive Office, visited the facilities of the Siberian Cultural and Educational Complex, one of the four complexes that make up an exceptional project implemented based on instructions from Vladimir Putin simultaneously in Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, Sevastopol, and Kemerovo, as part of his field visit to Kuzbass.

Sergey Kirienko examined the partly commissioned educational component, as well as the educational building of the Higher School of Music and Dramatic Arts (Siberian campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries). Sergey Mariinsky, General Director of Stroytransgaz-Siberia JSC, introduced Mr. Kirienko to lecture halls, workshops, and a training theatre equipped with a three-level orchestra pit and exceptional rotating stage. The guests climbed the air stairs, noted the visual lightness of the building’s structure and abundance of light in the lobby.

Sergey Tsivilev, Governor of Kuzbass, introduced the guests to a huge construction site of another part of the Siberian cultural and educational complex – the museum and theatre component, which is hard to miss in the down town.

All of Russia is changing, but the pace of changes in Kuzbass deserves respect. The key rule here is to do the best job you can. We have examined a number of projects today. In my opinion... these are really unprecedented facilities in the world, or otherwise no one could build them in such a short time. The Kuzbass people have always done incredible things. Today, the region is not just moving forward, but experiencing a renaissance. The most important thing is that every effort is being made for the younger generation,” summed up Sergey Kirienko.
