Cultural and Educational Complex Presented at Exhibition in Harbin (China)

32nd Harbin International Trade and Economic Exhibition holds “Days of Primorye Territory”. A delegation led by Oleg Kozhemyako, the Head of the region, represented Primorye Territory. One of the attraction points for the visitors of the exhibition hall was the pavilion area, where over 100 businesses demonstrate their products: gift sets of dietary supplements made of trepang extract, chaga, bear fat, cosmetics based on marine components and wood products. For potential investors there is an information desk of Primorye's business support institutions. At the exhibition area of Primorye Territory there is a large screen with video presentation on construction of the Cultural and Educational Complex in Vladivostok.

During the international show, the Head of the Region spoke about the construction of the Museum and Theatre Complex on Aksakovskaya Street and pointed out that the builders were working quickly and efficiently.

“For Primorye Territory, participation in the exhibition is a great opportunity to present key projects in tourism development to potential partners. Cross-border co-operation is one of the key trends. This is why the government expects the new agreement on visa-free travel to be signed,” said Oleg Kozhemyako.

At the meeting with Mrs Jin Gowei, Vice-Governor of Liaoning Province, the Head of the Region noted that the two regions do not share borders but are linked historically. During Russo-Japanese War our sailors defended Port Arthur, Primorye sailors liberated Dalian in 1945. People of China honour the memory of fallen Russian soldiers and preserve memorials. Our tourists enjoy visiting Liaoning Province, and its residents enjoy visiting Primorye.

The cultural cluster in Vladivostok is one of the four such projects currently being implemented in the country under order of the President of the Russian Federation. At the same time, similar complexes are being built in Kaliningrad, Vladivostok, Sevastopol and Kemerovo. The Cultural and Educational Complex in Vladivostok will be placed at two sites. Besides the erection of the complex on Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill, the construction of the educational part of the cluster was completed on Russky Island. It will be comprised of nine buildings, among which are branches of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Central Music School named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, an educational school with two pools, two boarding houses for students, the campus of the RGISI, and three fully furnished multi-apartment residential buildings for teaching staff and performing artists.
