Video Overview of Siberian Cultural and Educational Centre Construction Progress

Teachers and students of the Higher School of Music and Dramatic Arts (Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries) visited the educational building, where the final works are in progress. The guests were accompanied by the representatives of Stroytransgaz-Siberia. The contractors reported on the building availability, and the teachers-participants of the tour — described the peculiarities of teaching special subjects, what will be prepared in the future studios and what lessons the students dream about most of all.

The building of the Higher School of Music and Dramatic Arts has a high degree of completeness — around 99%. Internal finishing is completed. Assembly and arrangement of furniture, as well as installation of theatre equipment, are underway.

Arrangement of gym equipment is finished. Equipment for student cafeteria is installed. Theatre auditorium is prepared for mounting of seats.

Theatre and Museum Complex is 34% ready. Acceptance of concrete (a total of 59,200 m3), and installation of load-bearing steel structures (3,37 tonnes assembled) are ongoing. We have started installing partitions on the first and second floors of the Branches of the Russian Museum and the Kuzbass Centre of Arts.

Piles are being driven at the construction site of the residential building for the theatre's employees. Works completed by 79%. At the same time, the base for load distribution structure is prepared by backfilling.

As part of the Siberian Cultural Complex construction project by Stroytransgaz-Siberia JSC, the following venues will be built in Kemerovo: Opera and Ballet Theatre (Branch of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre); Museum & Exhibition Centre (Branch of the Russian Museum); Kuzbass Centre of Arts with Cinema and Concert Complex (designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au, Austria); Siberian Campus of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the School of Creative Industries; and the house for performing artists will appear in the city.

Already built and commissioned: Branch of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography with a boarding school; Siberian Branch of the Central Music School — Academy of Performing Arts with a boarding school; a comprehensive school with two swimming pools; the Campus of the Siberian Branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts with the stadium; Museum depository with a restoration centre; residential building for teaching staff.

The construction of the Kemerovo complex project started in 2019.
