Cultural and Educational Complex on Orlinaya Sopka

Dmitry Lebedev, General Director of Stroytransgaz, visited construction site of Vladivostok Cultural and Educational Complex on Orlinaya Sopka. Rinat Shigapov, President of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation, also took part in the site inspection. The inspection was primarily focused on the progress of the building construction.

All works proceed according to the schedule. Readiness of the facility regarding reinforced concrete monolithic structures is 70%. The complex consists of three sections: theatre - institute - museum. The largest section, the future branch of the Mariinsky Theatre, is currently under active construction. Five floors out of nine have been erected. In the near future, construction of the suspended staircase will start. It will connect two buildings: the RGISI branch and the School of Creative Industries.

During the visit, representatives of the future RGISI branch noted that the institute will provide talents for the Mariinsky Theatre.

“The oldest theatre institute will have students in all areas of drama specialities. Graduates of the RGISI branch will be able to work on any stage in the country. The whole Far East needs such specialists, from Buryatia, Yakutia, Siberia, Khabarovsk Territory, Amur Region, Sakhalin and Kamchatka”, Nina Shulgina, Director of the Vladivostok branch of RGISI, added.

At the meeting with the management of STG-Vostok, Dmitry Lebedev emphasised that it is now important to take special control over construction of heating networks to the Cultural and Educational Complex. Line pipes are laid along the roadway, the work is extensive and complicated. It is important to meet the deadline before the cold season starts.

At the moment, construction of the heat supply system is running at rapid pace. The municipal enterprise Vladivostok Power Grids is laying the heat networks. Heating and hot water from the new heating pipeline will also be supplied to the nearest residential neighbourhood and the university.

The total area of the Cultural and Educational Complex on Orlinaya Sopka will be 70 thousand square metres. The following branches will appear in Primorye: the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Oriental Art, the Russian State Institute of Stage Arts, the School of Creative Industries and the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.

Construction of the Cultural and Educational Complex in Vladivostok is carried out by Stroytransgaz Group under the order of the National Cultural Heritage Fund for Social and Cultural Projects.
