STG Helps Strengthen Interregional and Interstate Relations

The Cultural and Educational Complexes, which STG is building in Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Sevastopol and Kaliningrad by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, help strengthen interethnic, interregional and international relations at all levels - from Parliamentarians to ordinary citizens.

Delegation of Tomsk Region Legislative Duma headed by Chairman Oksana Kozlovskaya worked in Kuzbass. During the visit, in order to strengthen cooperation between the regions and exchange experience, they visited the Siberian Cultural and Educational Complex. The deputies got acquainted in detail with the work of the educational part of the complex, especially the branch of the Central Music School - Academy of Performing Arts “Sibirsky”, where the first graduation of students took place at the end of June. Children from six regions of Russia, musicians from Belarus and Germany study here, and in the new academic year they will be joined by children from Tomsk.

Larisa Zauerwein, Director of the Siberian Central Music School branch, noted: “It is great that the geography of our students is expanding. Tomsk has a large number of gifted and bright children!”

Tomsk deputies also got acquainted with the work of Kemerovo branch of the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (RGISI) and toured the site where the building of Museum and Theatre Complex is being constructed, which will house a branch of the Mariinsky Theatre, a branch of the Russian Museum and the Kuzbass Arts Centre.

The deputies appreciated the highest level of construction and expressed hope that young Tomsk residents would return to the region after receiving their education.

Alexey Zelenin, Chairman of Kuzbass Parliament, spoke about implementation of a set of measures to support gifted children, thanks to which Kemerovo Region is becoming a focal point for talented young people from all over Russia and abroad.

“What we have seen in Kuzbass inspires. The region is well aware of how important education is for the future of the region,” Oksana Kozlovskaya, Chairman of Tomsk Region Legislative Duma, shared her thoughts. — Tomsk has its own resources and advantages in terms of training specialists. I think our regional projects need to establish interregional co-operation system”.
