Their own Garden of Remembrance was opened on 1st June in the Baltiyski Academy of Performing Arts of the Central Music School. Branch alumni, teachers, and students' parents, as well as partners supporting the children's initiatives - managers and employees of the general developer STG-Zapad and representatives of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects took part in planting the downy fir trees.

Garden of Remembrance" is an international action taking place all over the country and dedicated to the memory of the 27 million people killed during the Great Patriotic War. Participants from 31 countries are planning to plant 27 million trees together. During the entire campaign, 25,921,121 trees have already been planted.

"We did not choose this day by chance," Larisa Volkova, director of the Baltiyski Academy of Performing Arts of the Central Music School, said.  - It's International Children's Day, which has also become Graduation Day in our branch. We are happy that our children took part in such a wonderful event together with their parents and teachers thanks to our partners. This unites all of us and fosters patriotism, respect for our history and love for our homeland in the younger generation.

Our participants chose a Kaibab blue spruces for the Garden of Remembrance, for their spectacular appearance and lush needles of a luxurious emerald hue. With the average life of about 300 years, this coniferous tree is a real longevity. An adult tree can reach a crown cross section of 3 meters, and its height can be up to 10-12 meters.

"This action is taking place all over the country. Colleagues from the Stroytransgaz in Kemerovo and Sevastopol have already joined it. We were very pleased to support the children's initiative and helped not only with the purchase of seedlings, but, of course, we also took part in planting the trees ourselves," says Dmitry Rzhannikov, General Director of STG-Zapad. - Let the long-lived spruces bring joy not only to us, but also to all the children who will study in the wonderful educational complex in the future.

Background:
Baltiyski Academy of Performing Arts of the Central Music School was built in 2021 as part of the creation of four cultural and educational complexes (Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Sevastopol, and Kaliningrad). The need to create them was expressed by the President Putin of Russia in his Address to the Federal Assembly in 2018. The concept was later elaborated and established in the Decree “On National Objectives and Strategic Goals of the Development of the Russian Federation till 2024”.
Construction of the cultural and education complex in Kaliningrad is underway by Stroytransgaz Group as commissioned by the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects.
