Construction of the open-access roof in the museum section

The construction of a cultural and educational complex continues on Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill on Aksakovskaya Street in Vladivostok. Stroytransgaz-Vostok is rapidly erecting the cast-in-situ frame of the future branch of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre, which is part of the cluster. At the moment, the reinforced concrete structures for the base of the large stage and the auditorium are being constructed.

“Reinforced concrete frame of the museum section and the Branch of the Russian State Institute of Dramatic Arts with the School of Creative Industries are almost completed. Now the main efforts are focused on the construction of the theatre part. This part of the building will be the largest of the three: its area will be about 30 thousand square meters. There will be two concert halls for 1,300 seats," Evgeny Koshelev, General Director of Stroytransgaz-Vostok, explained.

According to Evgeny Koshelev, the future theatre rose to a height of 12 meters from ground level. At the moment the third floor of the planned eight is being built. There is also an underground part with a depth of 12 meters. It will house a laboratory, creative workshops, museum storage, and a separate driveway for unloading heavy vehicles.
The cultural complex (70 thousand square meters) consists of three sections: theatre, institute, and museum. They all form a single triangle-shaped structure and will be connected to each other. There will be an atrium in the center of the three sections - a public space for people to relax.

Construction of stairwells on the accessible roof

In addition, stairwells are being built on the roof of the museum complex. A pedestrian zone for city residents and visitors is planned here. There will be two staircases on the operated roof: people can comfortably climb all the way to the top by one staircase and relax and admire the views of the city using the other, wider one. The pedestrian zone covers an area of more than 100 meters.

"The museum complex is the highest section of the construction. It consists of 7 floors and has almost reached its finish height of 45 meters above ground level. A decorative superstructure will be completed. We also completed the frame of the institute's branch. This section is clearly visible from the side of Beauty Avenue. It's four high floors. A branch of the Russian State Institute of Dramatic Arts (RGISI) and the School of Creative Industries will be located here," Alexander Fokin, Deputy General Director of Stroytransgaz-Vostok, said.

The cultural center will become a point of attraction of cultural life in the region and a base for education and talent development. Thanks to the cultural and educational complexes, people living far away from the cultural capitals of Russia will be able to fully participate in the great multinational culture of the country.

It is worth recalling that the company Stroytransgaz-Vostok has completed construction of the educational complex on Russky Island with a total area of 90 thousand square meters, a part of the cultural cluster created based on instructions from the Russian President. Now the institutions are about to start preparing for the school year.

Background:
The cultural cluster in Vladivostok is one of the four such projects currently being implemented in the country under order of the President of the Russian Federation. At the same time, similar complexes are being built in Kaliningrad, Sevastopol and Kemerovo. The Cultural and Educational Complex in Vladivostok will be placed at two sites. Besides the erection of the complex on Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill, the construction of the educational part of the cluster was completed on Russky Island. It will be comprised of nine buildings, among which are branches of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Central Music School named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, an educational school with two pools, two boarding houses for students, the campus of the RGISI, and three fully furnished multi-apartment residential buildings for teaching staff and performing artists.
