Construction progress of Vladivostok Cultural and Educational Complex

Stroytransgaz-Vostok has successfully completed the construction of the 90,000-square-meter Cultural and Educational Complex on Russky Island. Now the institutions are about to start preparing for the school year.

In addition, the construction of the Museum and Theater complex on the Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill is in progress; the elevation of 45 meters above ground level has been reached. Currently, vertical and horizontal reinforced concrete in-situ structures are being installed at the future branch of the Mariinsky Theater. An elevation of 18 meters above ground level has been reached here.

The educational complex includes nine buildings: Branches of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts, a comprehensive school with two swimming pools, two boarding houses for students, a dormitory for students from the Branch of the Russian State Institute of Dramatic Arts (RGISI), as well as three apartment buildings with fully furnished apartments for educators and artists.

The cast-in-place frame of the Museum and Theater Complex is under vigorous construction at the second construction site, Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill. In-situ reinforced concrete structures are 76% complete. Over 66,000 cubic metres of concrete has already been placed.

The elevation of 45 meters above the ground has been reached at the museum section site, and installation of stairs and floor slabs is in progress. In the theater segment, vertical and horizontal reinforced concrete structures are quickly being built, with elevation of 18 meters from ground level reached. The highlight of the complex’s architectural solution is a sloping ceiling, which in the future will become the largest trafficable roof in Vladivostok. The concrete pouring of the pedestrian staircase is 50% complete. The concreting of the cast-in-place staircase is being carried out in the section of the future branch of RGISI and the School of Creative Industries.

Stroytransgaz-Vostok, at the commission of the National Cultural Heritage Foundation for Social and Cultural Projects, as mandated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is building a cultural and educational complex in Vladivostok.

On Russky Island in September, children will start studying in the Russia's largest cultural and educational complex. There are branches of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Central Music School, an Education Centre with a canteen and a pool, boarding houses for students, a dormitory for RGISI students, and three multi-apartment residential buildings for teaching staff and performing artists.

The second site of the culture and education cluster is located on the Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill, the highest point in the historical part of Vladivostok. This large-scale complex will accommodate Branches of the State Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Oriental Arts, Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, School of Creative Industries, and the Mariinsky Theater’s stage.

In addition to the capital of the Primorye Territory, Stroytransgaz Group is building cultural and educational complexes in three more Russian cities.
