The bridge across the Chusovaya River is a "reset" of the project implementation program

Stroytransgaz JSC has "reset" the project implementation program involving  the construction of a bridge across the  Chusovaya river in Perm - additional resources were brought in, construction went into an active phase. “We are in an ongoing dialogue with the leadership of the Government of the Perm Territory, in particular, we work out solutions  to accelerate the construction process. For the company, the season of 2021 at the facility will be extremely intense. All work is carried out under my personal control, ” - reports General Director of the company V. A. Lavlentsev.

On February 18, the Governor of the Perm Territory, Dmitry Makhonin inspected the progress of the construction of the  bridge across the Chusovaya river.  The head of the Kama region examined how the work on the installation of bridge supports on the left and right banks of the river is organized, as well as how the flooring is being prepared for the Bauer unit, which allows to drill wells to a depth of 40 meters for the installation of bored piles.

The Governor pointed out that this project was very important for the region. “This is one of the most significant infrastructural facilities, which is very much-anticipated. Industrial cargo traffic from the enterprises in the north of the region has grown up significantly, country house construction is developing, while people still sit for a long time in traffic jams on the bridge across Chusovaya river, especially in the summer. That is why, all things considered, we need to work out a solution on how to accelerate the construction. We are ready to adjust the terms of the concession agreement, but this must be done so that nothing interferes with the construction of the facility. At this stage, it is important to "rouse the construction project to action” in order to step up the pace and commission the bridge as soon as possible", - emphasized Dmitry Makhonin. Following the results of the meeting with the Governor, a detailed work schedule for 2021 was signed, containing the deadlines.

According to Maxim Smagin, Engineer in chief of the Perm Territory Directorate of Stroytransgaz JSC, construction has already been in an active phase since the beginning of the year - the company has brought in additional resources. “Today some 250 people are involved in the project, it is planned to increase this number to 600-700. Construction work is carried out day-and-night. Currently installation of the 13th support is being underway at the right bank, and a platform for the 12th support is being built. Last week  concrete was poured onto the first stage of the support body on the left bank. This year, we have planned work on all 12 channel supports, and the fleet will be involved in their construction. By the end of the year we will see all 14 pillars of the bridge”, - said Maksim Smagin.

He went on to say that currently the work is underway to build 4 supports at once. Upon the onset of positive temperatures, road work will resume on the sections adjacent to the existing four-lane road and on the approaches to the bridge, and the construction of an overpass will begin in the area of Tsimlyanskaya and Korsunskaya streets.

The bridge construction project involves the construction of a "twin bridge" across the Chusovaya river next to the existing one, traffic interchanges on the approaches to it and reconstruction of the old pedestrian overpass. The commissioning of the facility will relieve the existing bridge and allow to get rid of regular traffic jams. The construction of the bridge has been underway since 2018 under a concession agreement with Perm Concession Company LLC (PKK). Stroytransgaz JSC is the General Contractor of the project.  

The bridge under construction shall become part of the  Moscow - Kazan - Perm - Khanty-Mansiysk - Surgut - Tomsk transport corridor. The commissioning of the facility will eliminate traffic jams at the Chusovaya river crossing and improve transport communication. The project provides for reconstruction of the interchange in the area of the Palniki village; new interchanges will appear at the intersection of Solikamsk highway with Korsunskaya st., as well as between the Eastern detour and  Tsimlyanskaya st. The new bridge will be the twin to the existing one. It will be located at a distance of 18 meters from the existing bridge.  The length of the 4-lane bridge under construction will be 1.5 km, and together with the approaches to it - 9.2 km.
