Hostel for the Higher School of Music and Theatre Students

We would like to present a Video with the Overview of the Museum, Theatrical and Educational Complex construction progress in Kemerovo, one of the four cities where the Project is being implemented under an order of V.V. Putin, Head of the State.

At the end of January, the State Examination Body of Russia (Glavgosexpertiza) issued positive conclusions in the follow-up of the reliability verification of the estimated construction cost of three facilities to be included in the Siberian cluster of arts in Kemerovo (a hostel for the Higher School of Musical and Theatre students, Museum Depository, apartment building for teachers of the Higher School and Choreographic Academy).

By the end of 2023, the construction of a large cultural cluster will be completed in Kemerovo, where the branches of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre, State Russian Museum, Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservaroty , as well as various educational establishments will be opened. The cluster will become the main cultural centre not only in Siberia, but also in the neighbouring countries.

Currently, work is underway to complete the first start-up (Educational) complex: installation of half-timbered legs, construction of external and internal walls and partitions of the educational building of the Choreographic Academy with an educational theatre; installation of window blocks and stained-glass structures, construction of external walls and internal partitions, roofing, installation of internal networks and systems, interior finishing of the boarding school for students of the Choreographic Academy; installation of half-timbered legs, construction of external walls, internal networks of a comprehensive school with a swimming pool; installation of half-timbered structures, construction of external walls, internal walls and partitions, installation of stained-glass structures, roofing, installation of internal networks and systems, interior finishing of the educational building of the Secondary Special Music School with a concert hall; installation of internal utility systems and networks, interior finishing and facade decoration of the boarding school for students of the Secondary Special Music School.

Among other things, work is underway to build a monolithic frame of the Educational Complex checkpoint, as well as to concrete and reinforce the frame of the 10th floor walls and floors, build external walls and internal partitions, install steel structures, heating and ventilation systems of the apartment building for teachers of the Higher School and Choreographic Academy.

Higher School of Music and Theatre with an Educational Centre

The following work is underway to complete the second start-up complex: concreting the frame of the 2nd and 3rd floor walls and floors, construction of external walls of the Higher School of Music and Theatre with an educational centre; installation of internal networks of electric lighting and power equipment, low-current networks, brickwork of partitions in the hostel for the Higher School students; frame concreting, brickwork of external walls and internal partitions, installation of the internal storm sewerage, roofing of the Museum Depository.

Currently, the following work has been completed: installation of the monolithic frame and steel structures for the covering slab of the Choreographic Academy educational theatre building; installation of the monolithic frame and half-timbered legs of the boarding school for the Choreographic Academy students; installation of the monolithic frame for the educational building of the Secondary Special Music School with a concert hall; installation of the monolithic frame and roofing, installation of window blocks in the boarding school for students of the Secondary Special Music School. Completed: 99% of the monolithic frame for the comprehensive school with a swimming pool and 71% of the Higher School of Music and Theatre with an educational centre; 95% of the roofing of the hostel for Higher School of Music and Theatre students.

The project will allow the Region to reveal its cultural and educational potential, arrange modern cultural space, change the residents’ life quality through introduction to art and, at the same time, make the city particularly attractive for visitors and tourists. Construction of the complexes will become one of the largest cultural projects of the recent years.

61 specialty vehicles and about 800 people such as builders, machine operators, engineers and technicians, etc. are involved in the process.

The work involving the first start-up (Educational) complex is scheduled for completion in July 2021, when the region will widely celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the commercial exploitation of Kuzbass.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2023.
