Construction of Bridge over the Chusovaya River

Stroytransgaz GC is nearing completion of construction of the largest road transportation facility — new bridge over the Chusovaya river. The new bridge is a twin of the existing one. The bridge over the Chusovaya River was launched on November 29, 1996. A new bridge is under construction at a distance of 18 metres 26 years later.

The road bridge across the Chusovaya River is a PPP project. The concession is granted to Perm Concession Company LLC. Stroytransgaz Group acts as the general construction contractor.
1.5 km is the length of the bridge under construction. The total length of the motor road and bridge over the Chusovaya river will be 9.2 km. There will be 4 lanes.

The bridge under construction will become part of the Moscow – Kazan – Perm – Khanty-Mansiysk – Surgut – Tomsk transport route. When commissioned, the bridge will help eliminate traffic jams at the river crossing and ease the traffic.

Construction of the facilities is carried out around the clock. A total of about 900 persons and more than 100 machines are engaged on the construction sites. It is planned that traffic over the new bridge will start before the end of the year.

The approaches and transportation interchange at the crossing with the railway near the Palniki station will be completed in 2023. Completion of reconstruction of the old bridge over the Chusovaya River is planned in 2024.
