Progress of Oktyabrsky Avenue Reconstruction in Lubertsy

Stroytransgaz is reconstructing Phase 1 of Oktyabrsky Avenue in Lyubertsy from the junction with Vlasov Street to the road approach up to the overpass through the railway track along the main road of the avenue with a turn to Volkovskaya Street.

The length of the reconstructed section is 1.5km along the main road and about 3km along service roads and ramps.

To date, all span beams have been installed, all pillars erected. The leveling base was completed on all spans. Work is underway to waterproof and paint the overpass, and barriers are being installed. 22 lighting poles out of 56 were installed. Workers started to lay crushed stone base and asphalt concrete on the main road and on the approaches to the overpass. Currently, the civil completion of the project is over 80%.

In addition, the reconstruction includes the construction of service roads, relocation of utilities, installation of storm sewers, and construction of an underground crosswalk at the intersection with Krasnaya street.

Thanks to the revamp, the construction of a four-lane 473m-long overpass will redistribute traffic flows in the area of busy intersections at Krasnaya st. and Smirnovskaya st., as well as improve the traffic capacity of the avenue. The travel time will be reduced by 20 to 30 minutes.

More than 400 people and 45 pieces of machinery are involved for the project

Traffic is scheduled to start in September 2023.
