Last Beam of Overpass Superstructure Installed in Lyubertsy

The reconstruction of Oktyabrsky Avenue in Lyubertsy is at the final stage. Now a section of more than 1.5 km from the intersection at Vlasova Street to Volkovsky Proyezd is under construction. The work is being performed by Stroytransgaz. At the moment, the builders have fully assembled the span beams of the overpass. All works are performed on time according to the production schedule. The reconstruction will improve the highway capacity by 35%.

"We have assembled all 140 beams of the span structure, and the overpass is 80% complete. In the near future, the builders will start the leveling blanket, waterproofing and asphalt paving works, as well as the installation of barriers and guardrails on the overpass. We plan to complete its construction and open the traffic in September,", said Alexey Gerzhik, Deputy Chairman of the Government, Minister of Transport of Moscow Region.

As part of the avenue reconstruction project, lighting towers are being installed and the overpass painted. At the same time, road works on the embankment at pillar 1 and pillar 15 are underway. In addition, the reconstruction includes the construction of service roads, relocation of utilities, installation of storm sewers, and construction of an underground crosswalk at the intersection with Krasnaya street.

409 workers and 45 units of machinery are involved at the construction site.

 As you may know, the overpass is being constructed as part of Phase 1 of the Oktyabrsky Avenue Improvement Project launched under instruction of Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of the Moscow Region.
