In May 2019, Stroytransgaz JSC signed a contract with State Public Institution of Moscow Region “Road Construction Administration” to perform the first phase of reconstruction of Oktyabrsky avenue in Lyubertsy, Moscow region.

The project will be implemented as part of the State Program for Moscow region “Development and Functioning of the Road and Transport Complex in 2017–2021”. Reconstruction of the avenue will contribute to improvement of the traffic situation in the main transport route of Lyubertsy, which connects the town with Moscow.

The section to be reconstructed within the first phase starts from the junction of Vlasova street and Oktyabrsky avenu and runs to the cross-over bridge above the railroad along the main course of the avenue with the turn to Volkovskaya street. The project provides to increase the number of traffic lanes from 4 to 8. The length of the reconstructed section will comprise 1.5 km along the main course of the avenue and 2.94 km along side passageways and connecting tracks. STG will also carry out construction of a new four-lane cross-over bridge over two busy road crossings in Krasnaya and Smirnovskaya streets with the overall length of 473 m.

To ensure road traffic safety, two underground pedestrian walkways will be constructed as well, which will include ramps for baby carriages and invalid's wheel chairs. The project provides for installation of three traffic light facilities and construction of seven bus-stops. Upon completion of reconstruction the average speed along the road will reach about 80 km/h, and the time for vehicles passage will reduce down to  15-20 minutes. The throughput capacity of the road will increase by 35%.

The works under the project are planned to be completed in Q4 2022.

The large-scale project for Oktyabrsky avenue reconstruction includes five phases and is implemented as part of measures for road network development and transport accessibility improvement in Lyubertsy in accordance with the order of Andrey Vorobyev, Governor of Moscow region. The overall reconstructed length of the avenue will make about 6.5 km along the main course and 5.9 km along connecting tracks. During reconstruction 9 underground pedestrian walkways, 25  bus-stops and 7 traffic light facilities will be constructed. Upon completion of reconstruction the throughput capacity of the road is expected to reach 115 thousand vehicles per day. Based on preliminary assessment, all five phases are planned to be completed by  2025.
