More than 250 kilometers of cable for small power systems laid in the Tretyakov Gallery branch

More than 250 kilometers of cable were installed to provide security, automation and control systems in the building of the Tretyakov Gallery branch. In total, the museum has about 20 security systems, including intruder alarms, video surveillance, and automation.

A water mist fire extinguishing system is installed to safeguard the exhibits. In case of emergency this system can save all exhibits as much as possible, since water under high pressure (over 10 kg) creates a dispersed mist that does not damage the paintings.

At the request of future users, sophisticated engineering solutions have been designed for the museum, which will allow the MEP equipment and security systems to be customized to meet the requirements of different exhibitions. For example, to stage a contemporary art exhibition, partitions can be arranged in a certain way, while relocating all sensors either hardwired or connected wirelessly.

The museum also has a climate control system. It is designed to preserve exhibits both during exhibition periods and during storage. The system allows monitoring the current situation 24/7 using sensors by multiple parameters and, if necessary, it will switch on automatically to maintain them at a preset level. A special system for storing artworks and special rooms for restoration has been created, so that paintings will not have to be taken to Moscow.

In air conditioning systems, air will be heated and humidified to maintain microclimate required to safeguard expensive exhibits on a 24/7/365 basis. The ventilation system provides for cleaning of the outside air, heat recuperation from the exhaust air, heating the air up to 12°C during the cold season and anti-bactericidal treatment.

"We have now completed the first phase where cables are being laid for the various systems. At the second stage, once finishing operations are complete, practically all terminal devices will be installed," says Dmitry Rzhannikov, CEO of STG-Zapad.– The museum will host a sophisticated MEP control center, which is necessary for a building of this significance.Together, all the systems, the multi-component base will make the building modern, transforming a concrete box with glass facades into a big 'living' organism."
