Work is underway to install surbases on the already installed span from the left bank in the cross-sections of supports No. 1–No. 5, as well as preparatory work for concreting the roadway slab. On the approaches to the bridge from the left bank, the embankment of the earth bed along the main course of the road is underway.

Main course of Motorways

The construction of the road part along the main course of the Vostochny Bypass and Perm-Berezniki motor roads continues: an earthen embankment is being erected, layers of pavement are being laid, and slopes of the existing embankment are being strengthened.

Overpass at the Palniki Railway Station

Besides, work is continuing to reconstruct rail overpasses within the station-to-station block of Levshino-Golovanovo where the overpass spans the Perm-Berezniki motor road. Work is underway to install supports for a new overpass along the odd railway direction.

Pedestrian Crossings

There are three elevated pedestrian crossings in active progress. At the crossing over the Vostochny Bypass motor road, the construction of supports has been completed and preparatory work is underway to install a span, while at the crossing over the Perm-Berezniki motor road, the construction of supports has been completed and work is underway at the facility in the area of the transport interchange in Palniki across the railway to install the pile foundation for the supports.

About 850 personnel and 150 units of machinery are engaged in operations on a daily basis.

Project background:

The bridge over the Chusovaya River under construction will be a part of Moscow - Kazan - Perm - Khanty-Mansiysk - Surgut - Tomsk transport corridor. The commissioning of the facility will eliminate traffic jams at the Chusovaya River crossing and improve transport communication. The project provides for the reconstruction of an interchange in the area of Palniki village; new interchanges will appear at the intersection of Solikamsk highway with Korsunskaya Street, as well as between the Vostochny Bypass and Tsimlyanskaya Street. The new bridge will be a “twin” of the existing one. It will be located 18 meters away from the existing bridge. The length of the four-lane bridge under construction will be 1.5 km.
